Tutorials How To Manual MIDI and Audio
QuckScore has a band template, as well as a number of templates for smaller jazz ensembles. You can start with one of these, build your own arrangement using the EZ Template feature, or start from scratch. You may also start from any MIDI, MusicXML or QuickScore file, creating the arrangement yourself using the Track Sheet.
If you are creating the arrangement yourself, use the Track Sheet to quickly enter the track names, channels, programs, clefs and key transpositions for each instrument. To more quickly and accurately choose a key transposition for transposing instruments, find the instrument name at the bottom of the Key Transposition drop-down list box.
At the top of the Track Sheet, you can quickly enter the key signature, time signature, beat and tempo.
Enter notes using the mouse, the built-in virtual keyboard, a MIDI keyboard, MIDI guitar or breath controller, or any other controller attached to your computer.
Enter key signature and time signature changes at any point in your composition. Hold down the control key and right click in the bar where you want the key or time signature change to take place, enter the new key signature or time signature and click Apply.
Attach articulations directly to notes by selecting the note or notes and choosing Articulation from the Edit menu.
Add titles, composer credits, headers and footers using Display>Titles>Score.
Add tempo and dynamic markings using symbols from the symbols palette.
When your have finished entering your band score, you can
format and space your music and generate
parts.
